Your Truth

Once upon a time, there lived six blind men in a village.
One day the villagers told them, “Hey, there is an elephant in the village today.”

They had no idea what an elephant is. They decided,
“Even though we would not be able to see it, let us go and feel it anyway.”
All of them went where the elephant was. Everyone of them touched the elephant.

“Hey, the elephant is a pillar,” said the 1st man who touched its leg.

“Oh, no! it is like a rope,” said the 2nd man who touched the tail.

“Oh, no! it is like a thick branch of a tree,” said the 3rd man who touched the trunk.

“It is like a big hand fan” said the 4th man who touched the ear of the elephant.

“It is like a huge wall,” said the 5th man who touched the belly of the elephant.

“It is like a solid pipe,” Said the 6th man who touched the tusk of the elephant.

They began to argue about the elephant and everyone of them insisted that he was right.
It looked like they were getting agitated. A wise man was passing by and he saw this.
He stopped and asked them, “What is the matter?”
They said, “We cannot agree to what the elephant is like.”
Each one of them told what he thought the elephant was like.
The wise man calmly explained to them,
“All of you are right.
The reason every one of you is telling it differently because
each one of you touched the different part of the elephant.
So, actually the elephant has all those features what you all said.”

“Oh!” everyone said. There was no more fight. They felt happy that they were all right.

The moral of the story is that there may be some truth to what someone says.
Sometimes we can see that truth and sometimes not because
they may have a different perspective with which we may not agree. S
o, rather than arguing like the blind men, we should say,
“Maybe you have your reasons.” This way we don’t get in arguments.
Truth can be stated in different ways.
This story teaches us to be tolerant towards others for their viewpoints.
This allows us to live in harmony with the people of different thinking.

Do You Listen To Your Room?

  • Listen to your room

    In a room

A Fan says ... Be Cool
A Clock says ... Every Minute Counts
A Mirror says ... Reflect Before You Act
A Window says ... See The World
A Calendar said ... Be Up To Date
A Door says ... Push Hard To Achieve Your Goal

Receive – Realize – Release

Receive – Realize – Release -
When you are the Receiver of negativity
Realize it is not about you.
Then Release it.
Sounds too simple?
It really is that simple, not the same as easy.
There is no statute of limitation,
you can release it any time and as many times as needed.
Negative people and negative situations can propel us forward,
when we keep the lesson and release the personal attachment.

Your future is not your past ...
unless you choose it to be...

Life Is Like A Game of Boomerangs!

Often you get answers to questions
you did not ask out loud!

Do you know...
that life is a game of boomerangs.
Our thoughts, deeds and words return to us
sooner or later with astounding accuracy.
Florence Scovel Shinn said that, and she was right.
So before you think, do, or say anything --
imagine what it would be like to receive what you are sending.
Then, go one step further.
Decide ahead of time what
you would like to receive...and then send it.
Quite deliberately.
That is, give to, or cause in the life of,
another what you would like to now experience.
Then...watch the magic.

We are Sending Good Out!!!

Time

How do you do something... You do not want to do?
The same way you do things you do want to do...
Give it all you got!!! Give it your best!!!

Ever notice when you do something you like
and are having FUN time just flies by quickly
Yet...
When you are doing something you do not like
times passing so... s-l-o-w-l-y ?

A story my father shared with me as a child!

There once was a man who;
Got a job doing what he thought was boring...
Married someone he did not even like...
Drove a car he did not like at all...
Listened to music he felt was irritating...
Ate only food he dis-liked greatly!

Asking why did he choose to do all these things?

Answer...
By choosing to do thing he did not like
time seemed to go by s-lo-w-l-y...
this would make his life seem longer!

Wow...

Time is the only thing we all have exactly the same ...
24 hours in a day.

The time it takes to do things we like or do not like
is the exactly the same !
It is how we choose to feel about it that makes the difference.

Pollyanna Rocks!

Always finding the 'brighter" side in any situation is proof enough that it does in deed exists!

I would rather trust and be wrong than not trust and be wrong!

We would demonstrate to everyone that we are cheerful, that we are optimistic,
that we are happy, that we are looking for the best-feeling thought that we can find —
and that we've practiced it so much that we often find it.
And then, as people say to you, in accusing tones,
"Oh, you are a Pollyanna," announce to them, "Pollyanna lived a very happy life."

An ah-ha! moment for me...

Repeatedly being reminded...

"That I made a mistake"

By others who had done what I was then doing...

Yes... it was at a job!

I listen to them... after all they did this before.

Then slowly  it came through me...

"I AM not them"

"I AM me"

Ever heard ...

'If you want different results... do things different?'

When I became Thankful...for those mistakes
and to others who were trying to push/pull me into a mold...
A mold that I call...'in the box'
No matter how big the box is... it limits how far one can go
taking control of imagination and possibilities.

What was the desired end results I wanted.
Recognition, promotions, raises, approval from others felt good...
yet it did not fuel me...
feeling I did my best, and did more than before that felt great!
That was what charged me!

It was being me,
I love connecting with others...
I love learning...
I love teaching...

A metaphor ...
I was given all the ingredients to make a chocolate cake
I was given all the tools I would need, measuring cups, spoons,
mixer, pans, oven everything to make a chocolate cake,
even the proven results... a beautiful chocolate cake!

Everything except the recipe!

This was an excuse for me to keep doing the same thing the same way.

That was a stepping stone...

Thinking... How did a recipe even become a recipe?

Through mistakes...and keep on keepin on!

When you make mistakes...

Make sure you don't miss the message ...looking for the mistake!

I AM bored

When I hear "I AM bored"
I remember the response
Only Boring people get bored!

In a rut?... change HOW you do somethings!

We are here to do great things...
Create goals that keep you excited and active!

If you have a goal in life that takes a lot of energy,
that requires a lot of work,
that incurs a great deal of interest and that is a challenge to you, you will always look forward to waking up
to see what the new day brings.

Not to Decide is to Decide

Great Advice... From
Neale Donald Walsch

On this day of your life, I believe God wants you to know...
...that nothing is ever solved, or created, by standing still.
Movement is the process of the Universe. So move.
Do something. Anything. But do not stand still.
Do not remain"on the horns of a dilemma." Do not fence sit.
Put your foot down on one side or the other,
swing the opposite leg over and start walking.
You'll know before you take ten steps if
you're going in the right direction.
Not to decide is to decide.
Try to not make choices by default.

What is it that you are 'on the fence about?'
The way to walk your talk is to take that 1st step...
then repeat!

If it ain't broke, break it...

If it ain't broke, break it...

This post is inspired by Tom Peters. In fact I have taken the topic of this post from Tom’s write-up on “Excellence” straight from the free e-book “What Matters Now” that Seth Godin recently released on his blog and a number of other sites (including Active Garage).
I fell in love with this quote as soon as I saw it and was deeply moved by all that it could mean. Here are a few that got triggered in my thinking:
  1. It challenges mediocrity at all levels… because mediocrity deals with accepting what is, as-is. Being in status-quo. Adjusting. Compromising. Coping. Mediocrity does not produce stellar results. It always produces the same, common result and thus gets priced in the marketplace. That’d explain the gap between the movers and shakers, and the common people.
  2. Call for Action: It is a beautifully constructed statement that clearly Calls for Action. Nothing happens without action… Nothing that you intended, actually.
  3. It is Purposeful: It is Purposeful, in that, it is a step that needs to be taken in order to do something new.
  4. It is a Precursor to Creating: Without creating a space where something new can be brought about, no creation is possible. In other words, until the old takes up the space, the new cannot get in!
  5. It is Risky! – Yes, it is… because it will take us to the unknown. But, the unknown is not always undesirable. Just ask Christopher Columbus OR Albert Einstein OR Yourself (when you last stepped into the unknown.

Do You Think I Am?

When I hear this question from someone or from myself...

"Do you think I am ________ fill in the blank?'
examples...
Do you think I am unfair?
Do you think I am being mean?
Do you think I should do that?

Ever heard ...
"If you think you are... You Are!!!

When you ask that question...
You already know the answer...
Trust yourself... you know more than you think!

When you feel good about the YES!
Then it is the right thing for you...

We can not always control what we think about
Yet we can control what thoughts we keep and focus on!

Believe in Your Vision

What does it mean to disprove something?
The dictionary meaning... to prove to be false or wrong!

When it comes to something unseen...
No matter how much you seek something...
IF you do not find it...
You do not disprove it is real...
You prove is you have find it YET!

History 'proves' this to be true...
Once believed impossible ...
Flying...
Man on the moon...
A hand held computer...
Disneyland...
The list goes on and on!

Believe in your vision...

Impossible ... the word itself say I'm=possible

“I believe in everything until it's disproved.
So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons.
It all exists, even if it's in your mind.
Who's to say that dreams and nightmares
aren't as real as the here and now?”

Question

Have you ever been in a conversation with someone
and just to be polite ... You pretend to listen?
You really have no interest in what they are saying,
it takes effort keeping focus on what they saying.
You mind drifts and you nod say, yes, ok or I see.

Question...
Have you ever been in a conversation with someone
and just to be polite... THEY pretended to listen?
THEY really have no interest in what YOU are saying,
it takes effort keeping focus on what YOU saying.
THEIR mind drifts and THEY nod say, yes, ok or I see.

There is no right reaction

Your reaction is a blessing or a lesson.

When I respond to a situation

sometimes...

later I wonder what 'if' I would 'of '

done 'this'... said 'that' instead...

or just done or said 'no-thing' at all.

Learning is an experience

experience is knowledge

wisdom is optional...

Life is fun!

Listen to your intuition

Follow your heart.

Sometimes silence is has rewards...
and sometimes you gotta say what you think
and smile when someone tells you you are a little cracked !
