Me and We

Re-visiting the past... I smile : )
Reading journals and things I wrote
I realized when I felt down
it was all about 'ME'
I realized when I felt up
 it was all about 'WE'

Frogs and Snakes

When it rains as it is in South Florida right Now...

You can hear nature with the volume turned up!

One of the amplified sounds are frogs...

Reminding me ...

FROG

F forever
R rely
O on
G God!

Realizing when there are so many frogs...
There are visibly more snakes too...
feeding on them...Natures Balance
reminding me in Life there is a balance.
Metaphorically speaking ...
if frogs remind me of Faith
and snakes remind me of temptation.
Faith does not mean there is no temptation!
There are not more snakes in the rain...

There appears to be more (temptation) snakes...
When faith ( frogs) seems to also be abundantly in sight!

Pollyanna Rocks!

Always finding the 'brighter" side in any situation is proof enough that it does in deed exists!

I would rather trust and be wrong than not trust and be wrong!

We would demonstrate to everyone that we are cheerful, that we are optimistic,
that we are happy, that we are looking for the best-feeling thought that we can find —
and that we've practiced it so much that we often find it.
And then, as people say to you, in accusing tones,
"Oh, you are a Pollyanna," announce to them, "Pollyanna lived a very happy life."

I AM bored

When I hear "I AM bored"
I remember the response
Only Boring people get bored!

In a rut?... change HOW you do somethings!

We are here to do great things...
Create goals that keep you excited and active!

If you have a goal in life that takes a lot of energy,
that requires a lot of work,
that incurs a great deal of interest and that is a challenge to you, you will always look forward to waking up
to see what the new day brings.

Not to Decide is to Decide

Great Advice... From
Neale Donald Walsch

On this day of your life, I believe God wants you to know...
...that nothing is ever solved, or created, by standing still.
Movement is the process of the Universe. So move.
Do something. Anything. But do not stand still.
Do not remain"on the horns of a dilemma." Do not fence sit.
Put your foot down on one side or the other,
swing the opposite leg over and start walking.
You'll know before you take ten steps if
you're going in the right direction.
Not to decide is to decide.
Try to not make choices by default.

What is it that you are 'on the fence about?'
The way to walk your talk is to take that 1st step...
then repeat!

If it ain't broke, break it...

If it ain't broke, break it...

This post is inspired by Tom Peters. In fact I have taken the topic of this post from Tom’s write-up on “Excellence” straight from the free e-book “What Matters Now” that Seth Godin recently released on his blog and a number of other sites (including Active Garage).
I fell in love with this quote as soon as I saw it and was deeply moved by all that it could mean. Here are a few that got triggered in my thinking:
  1. It challenges mediocrity at all levels… because mediocrity deals with accepting what is, as-is. Being in status-quo. Adjusting. Compromising. Coping. Mediocrity does not produce stellar results. It always produces the same, common result and thus gets priced in the marketplace. That’d explain the gap between the movers and shakers, and the common people.
  2. Call for Action: It is a beautifully constructed statement that clearly Calls for Action. Nothing happens without action… Nothing that you intended, actually.
  3. It is Purposeful: It is Purposeful, in that, it is a step that needs to be taken in order to do something new.
  4. It is a Precursor to Creating: Without creating a space where something new can be brought about, no creation is possible. In other words, until the old takes up the space, the new cannot get in!
  5. It is Risky! – Yes, it is… because it will take us to the unknown. But, the unknown is not always undesirable. Just ask Christopher Columbus OR Albert Einstein OR Yourself (when you last stepped into the unknown.

Question

Have you ever been in a conversation with someone
and just to be polite ... You pretend to listen?
You really have no interest in what they are saying,
it takes effort keeping focus on what they saying.
You mind drifts and you nod say, yes, ok or I see.

Question...
Have you ever been in a conversation with someone
and just to be polite... THEY pretended to listen?
THEY really have no interest in what YOU are saying,
it takes effort keeping focus on what YOU saying.
THEIR mind drifts and THEY nod say, yes, ok or I see.

Chocolate Cake

Once upon a time, there lived six blind men in a village.
One day the villagers told them, “Hey, there is an elephant in the village today.”

They had no idea what an elephant is. They decided,
“Even though we would not be able to see it, let us go and feel it anyway.”
All of them went where the elephant was. Everyone of them touched the elephant.

“Hey, the elephant is a pillar,” said the 1st man who touched its leg.

“Oh, no! it is like a rope,” said the 2nd man who touched the tail.

“Oh, no! it is like a thick branch of a tree,” said the 3rd man who touched the trunk.

“It is like a big hand fan” said the 4th man who touched the ear of the elephant.

“It is like a huge wall,” said the 5th man who touched the belly of the elephant.

“It is like a solid pipe,” Said the 6th man who touched the tusk of the elephant.

They began to argue about the elephant and everyone of them insisted that he was right.
It looked like they were getting agitated. A wise man was passing by and he saw this.
He stopped and asked them, “What is the matter?”
They said, “We cannot agree to what the elephant is like.”
Each one of them told what he thought the elephant was like.
The wise man calmly explained to them,
“All of you are right.
The reason every one of you is telling it differently because
each one of you touched the different part of the elephant.
So, actually the elephant has all those features what you all said.”

“Oh!” everyone said. There was no more fight. They felt happy that they were all right.

The moral of the story is that there may be some truth to what someone says.
Sometimes we can see that truth and sometimes not because
they may have a different perspective with which we may not agree. S
o, rather than arguing like the blind men, we should say,
“Maybe you have your reasons.” This way we don’t get in arguments.
Truth can be stated in different ways.
This story teaches us to be tolerant towards others for their viewpoints.
This allows us to live in harmony with the people of different thinking.

Being Great Helps Others Feel Greatness

What a great feeling when you met someone that is succeeding and it resonates within you.
As they share their journey of successes, trials and errors you feel as if you can succeed too. The universe gives clues ... Seeming as if you NOW have permission... to take control of you, you remember you have talents, abilities, your belief is greater. You must create a plan that gives you a healthy balance …  execute it … Take action … Get out there and make your world a better place … Helping others succeed along the way … Now that is purpose !!!
