Ever notice that where facts are few experts are many?

Ever notice that where facts are few experts are many?

Have you ever amazed yourself and known just as much
or more than an "expert"?

My father use to tell me...
Be willing to learn like a beginner and you will always continue to improve...

We all know that people brand them self as "experts"...
I asked "So what qualifies someone as an 'expert'?"

Some of the answers received:
Schooling and a degree!
Real life experiences!
Proven and successful results!

Webster says
Expert: having, involving, or displaying special skill or knowledge derived from training or experience

Then I ask ...
Has a novice or beginner ever taught you something?
Has a child ever taught you something?
Have you ever taught yourself something?

A child with no schooling or degree...
A novice with out real life experiences...
Your intuition or just taking a chance...
All with no previous success results...

How does someone become an expert at something that is NOT taught in formal education?

Lately it seems as if everyone is an expert at something...

Is it possible that being an expert limits just how much we can really improve and grow?

Simple Wisdom

Simple Wisdom...
Life is too short to wake up with regrets...
So love the people who treat you right...
Love the ones who don't just because you can...
Believe everything happens for a reason...
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands...
If it changes your life, let it...
Kiss slowly...
Forgive quickly...
God never said life would be easy...
He just promised it would be worth it...

Man and His Best Friend

A man and his dog were walking along a road.
The man was enjoying the scenery, when it suddenly occurred to him that he was dead.

He remembered dying, and that the dog walking beside him had been dead for years.
He wondered where the road was leading them.

After a while, they came to a high, white stone wall along one side of the road...
It looked like fine marble. At the top of a long hill,
it was broken by a tall arch that glowed in the sunlight.

When he was standing before it he saw a magnificent gate in the arch that looked like mother-of-pearl, and the street that led to the gate looked like pure gold.
He and the dog walked toward the gate, and as he got closer, he saw a man at a desk to one side.
When he was close enough, he called out, Excuse me, where are we?

Why this is Heaven, sir...the man answered.
Wow!!! Would you happen to have some water? the man asked...

Of course, sir. Come right in, and I'll have some ice water brought right up.
The man gestured, and the gate began to open.

Can my friend... gesturing toward his dog, come in, too? the traveler asked...

I'm sorry, sir, but we don't accept pets...

The man thought a moment and then turned back toward the road
and continued the way he had been going with his dog.

After another long walk, and at the top of another long hill, he came to a dirt road leading through a farm gate that looked as if it had never been closed... There was no fence.

As he approached the gate, he saw a man inside, leaning against a tree and reading a book.

Excuse me! he called to the man.. Do you have any water?

Yeah, sure, there's a pump over there, come on in...

How about my friend here? the traveler gestured to the dog...

There should be a bowl by the pump...

They went through the gate, and sure enough, there was an old-fashioned hand pump with a bowl beside it...

The traveler filled the water bowl and took a long drink himself... then he gave some to the dog...

When they were full, he and the dog walked back toward the man who was standing by the tree...

What do you call this place? the traveler asked...

This is Heaven... he answered...

Well, that's confusing... the traveler said... 'The man down the road said that was Heaven, too...

Oh, you mean the place with the gold street and pearly gates? Nope... That's hell...

Doesn't it make you mad for them to use your name like that?

No... we're just happy that they screen out the folks who would leave their best friends behind...

The Wooden Bowl Story

The Wooden Bowl

If you have heard this before you will remember the tale of the Wooden Bowl~
If you have not heard this before you will remember tomorrow~ a week from now~
a month from now~A year from now~

A frail old man went to live with his son~ daughter-in-law~and four-year-old grandson.
The old man's hands trembled~ his eyesight was blurred~ and his step faltered

The family ate together at the table~ But the elderly grandfather's shaky hands and
Failing sight made eating difficult~
Peas rolled off his spoon onto the floor~
When he grasped the glass, milk spilled on the tablecloth~

The son and daughter-in-law became irritated with the mess~
We must do something about father~ said the son~
I've had enough of his spilled milk~ noisy eating~ and food on the floor~

So the husband and wife set a small table in the corner~
There~ Grandfather ate alone while the rest of the family enjoyed dinner~
Since Grandfather had broken a dish or two~ his food was served in a wooden bowl~

When the family glanced in Grandfather's direction~
sometimes he had a tear in his eye as he sat alone~
Still~ the only words the couple had for him were sharp
admonitions when he dropped a fork or spilled food~

The four-year-old watched it all in silence~

One evening before supper~ the father noticed his son playing with wood scraps on the floor~
He asked the child sweetly~ What are you making? Just as sweetly~the boy responded~
Oh~ I am making a little bowl for you and Mama to eat your food in when I grow up~
The four-year-old smiled and went back to work~

The words so struck the parents so that they were speechless~
Then tears started to stream down their cheeks~
Though no word was spoken~ both knew what must be done~

That evening the husband took Grandfather's hand and gently led him back to the family table~
For the remainder of his days he ate every meal with the family~ And for some reason,
Neither husband nor wife seemed to care any longer when a fork
was dropped~ milk spilled~ or the tablecloth soiled~

On a positive note~I've learned that~ no matter what happens~ how bad it seems today~ life does go on~ and it will be better tomorrow~

I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles six things~
A rainy day~ children~ animals~the elderly~ lost luggage~ and tangled Christmas tree lights~

I've learned that making a ~living~ is not the same thing as making a ~life~

I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance~

I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands~
You nee d to be able to throw something back sometimes~

I've learned that if you pursue happiness~ it will elude you
But~if you focus on your family~ your friends~ the needs of others~
Your work and doing the very best you can~ happiness will find you

I've learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart~ I usually make the right decision.

I've learned that even when I have pains~ I don't have to be one~

I've learned that every day~ you should reach out and touch someone~

People love that human touch ~holding hands~ a warm hug~ or just a friendly pat on the back~

I've learned that I still have a lot to learn~

If You Are Always Perfect You Are Not Learning

If you are always perfect you are not learning~

To create success ~ we must have goals ~

We strive to get "it" perfect all the time~

When we do get "it" perfect ~

As we pat ourselves on the back ~

Take a bow ~ except praise ~ and feel proud~

We should consider that we need to push forward ~

Otherwise It would be like quitting ~

Our skill levels increase as we push forward~

If you are going to improve you have to fall short of perfect~

How awesome never an end~ never boring~ always striving for Improvement~

CANI

C=constant
A=and
N=never~ending
I=improvement

You Never Know What You Do ~ Say or How You Act Effects the Life or Lives of Other People~

You Never Know What You Do ~ Say or How You Act can effect the Life or Lives of Other People~

How awesome of a feeling when we witness an abundance of GoOD as the result of
something that came from someone's heart...

Well thought out plans also produce a great abundance~
Have you noticed that sometimes they are started on an idea of someone's non planned action?

Recently we were reminded of this ~

We were at a Brave Aid ~ Operation Warrior Support meeting ~ Joe Wright who is a Veteran was speaking of how his past experiences and his service to our country still effect his everyday life. Moved by Joe's genuine and sincere testimonial~ Jim started recording Joe while he was speaking~ Joe was just that good... Jim did not why~ all he did know is that this was something he wanted to view again. (We have included the video link at the end of this note)

After uploading and viewing the video Jim decided has to be a way to share this message~

Jim finds a way he can help Joe deliver his message in a personal way to friends and family~

We have a streaming video software package that enables us to up load and send a video to friends ~ family ~ business associates in an email.
Not being able to edit the unrehearsed ~ matter of fact Joe did not even know he was being recorded ~ version Jim knew that it was the way to was meant to be...

Jim also sent it to Brandon Williams founder of Brave Aid to share what an we felt was a message that Joe indeed was an awesome speaker ~ To date this video has been forwarded and view over 350 times.

Stories of real life positive effects this video has had on lives of people who have viewed it have been shared with us. Joe him self was not aware of how much his message would create abundance for others or in his own well being and personal life .

We know that a message needs to be delivered and we feel blessed to be a part of this mission.

Both Jim and I believe in some way Jim's recording ~Joe words ~and the circulates of this video~ is an example of how a prompt to take action can inspire abundance...

We are passionate about helping others help themselves ~
Giving a Hand Up as opposed to giving a Hand Out~
Give a Man a Fish Feed him for a Meal ~ Teach a Man to Fish Feed him for a Life~

Words Worth Sharing

A Birth Certificate shows that we were born~
A Death Certificate shows that we died~
Pictures show that we lived~

Just because two people argue~
that doesn't mean they don't love each other~

And just because they don't argue~ that doesn't mean they do love each other~

Sometimes when we are angry we have the right to be angry~
but that never give us the right to be cruel~

We don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change~

No matter how good a friend is ~
they're going to hurt us every once in a while and we must forgive them for that~

True friendship continues to grow ~ even over the longest distance ~ Same goes for true love~

We can do something in an instant that will give us heartache for life~

It's taking us a long time to become the person we want to be~

We should always leave loved ones with loving words ~ It may be the last time we see them~

We can keep going long after we think we can't~

We are responsible for what we do ~ no matter how we feel~

We either control our attitude or it controls us~

Heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done ~
regardless of the consequences~

Money is a lousy way of keeping score~

With our best friends we can do anything ~ or nothing ~ and have the best time~

Sometimes the people we expect to kick us ~
When we're down
Are the ones to help us get back up~

Maturity has more to do with what types of experiences we've had ~
and what we've learned from them ~
and less to do with how many birthdays we've celebrated~

It isn't always enough to be forgiven by others~
Sometimes ~ we have to learn to forgive ourselves~

No matter how bad our heart is broken the world doesn't stop for our grief~

Our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are ~
but we are responsible for who we become~

We shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret ~ It could change our life forever~

Two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different~

Our life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know us~

Even when we think we have no more to give ~
if a friend cries out to us ~
we will find the strength to help~

Credentials on the wall do not make anyone a decent human being~

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything ~
We just make the most of everything~

How would you answer these questions?

When someone I care about passes away or they lose someone ,it reminds me of what we have is only NOW. Problems seem to fade and not be as important. The past is gone, the future is uncertain, we only have NOW, the present (a gift).

This week our family has heard of several toddlers who have passed away in accidents in their own homes. Reminding me to put "LIFE" into perspective. Life is precious and can be gone in a matter of seconds. All we have is right NOW.

NOW
N notice
O opportunities
W waiting

I began to realize when I am reminded of how precious life is, I find new appreciation and begin to practice awareness of everything... Set new goals to accomplish, then something happens and I get side tracked, disappointed .

I began to look at how I spend my NOW moments. If I were to record an average day of my life what would it say about ~

~What I am doing with my Gift of Life? (Present)
~Am I using all my talents?
~Am I being productive with my time, co creating ?

~What would your recorded average day look like?

How would you answer those questions?

Have you heard about Brave Aid.Org and Operation Warrior Support.US

My son Kristofer, called me and starts off the conversation with
"Do you feel blessed or lucky to have only problems that more money could solve?"

At first I said YES... without thinking... Then when I started thinking... I realized that question/statement was of value... Every single problem that I currently have could actually be eliminated solved or improved by "more money" and most of the people I know would have to agree...

We (Jim & denise) had attened a informational meeting. This organization helps Veterans and their families. In the meetings were people of all ages, and all walks of life... they all had one thing in common... A heart beat and a desire to "make a difference" A common quote that was shared many times in the meeting was..."The reason we are "F*r*e*e" is because of the Brave!!!"

The Life Bio's of men, women and children who's lives have been changed...Touched each and every person in that room...some on a personal level...

We realized that when one person serves our country... one persons leaves... yet everyone one live is touched... mom, dad, spouse, children,sibling, aunt, uncle, cousin, friend, and strangers who can have the freedom...

Jim and I made a commitment to give at least 10% of every dollar we earn to different charities. No matter how tight things get we donate... and it is unbelievable how it comes back to us in ten folds...

When we give it always feels so good it almost seems as if we get for giving...
When Jim heard about Brave Aid.Org and Operation Warrior Support.US , he felt guided and lead to this cause... Being an educated man in the business world he did hours of due diligence ... giving it a thumbs up... he began to share this with friends ... they are equally as excited and to give... By donating 20.00 twenty dollars a month you can make a difference in LIVES.... and you have the FREEDOM to decide if you would like to earn as you give...

This is such a unique organization that we (Jim and denise) have decided that we are going to sponsor veterans.. 1 at a time... pay for them to get enrolled ... and when they begin to earn... sponsor another...

Brandon Williams ,Ron Begin and Glenn "W" Tunner, have come together to share this with ALL who will listen... This is a worthy cause and everyone benefits... a win win win ... if you have any questions or concerns please call Jim @ 386.235.6864 or email Jim@jimdenise.com

It grows well with little rain, and with a lot of rain they grow even better.

The "Prickly Pear" grows on the side of the leaf and looks like a small, round cucumber with prickles. It is also called the desert fig. The fruit is sweet and refreshing. It can also be made into jellies, juices and even dried to name a few uses. The young leaves can be eaten as a vegetable they look like pear-shaped disks and are covered with prickles or thorns, so you have to be careful when picking or preparing them

One way to pick "Prickly Pear Cactus" fruit when its ready is to cover each one with a plastic cup, or use gloves to keep your hands from getting prickles. Mom's Day History

From Then To Now Mother's Day

The modern Mother's Day, of bringing flowers and gifts to moms can be traced back to seventeenth century England
Mothering Sunday was the fourth Sunday in Lent...a special day when all the strict rules about fasting and penance were put aside. Older children who were away from home learning a trade or working as servants were allowed to return home for Mothering Sunday. The family gathered for a mid-Lenten feast with Mother as the special guest. Along with a rare visit from her children, mothers were given treats of cakes and wildflower bouquets. While 'Mothering Sunday'

In America, early English settlers often disapproved of the Mothering Sunday tradition never really took. Early attempts to have a day to honor mother's were mixed with woman's suffrage and peace movements and were not very popular.

Julia Ward Howe, who wrote the words to the Battle Hymn of the Republic, suggested the idea of an International Mother's day to celebrate peace and motherhood in 1872. There were many other women who were active with local groups holding annual Mother's Day remembrances, but most were more religious gatherings and not the holiday that we know today.

One of the women, who was working on establishing Mother's Day as a national celebration was the mother of Anna Jarvis. Mrs. Jarvis held an annual gathering, Mother's Friendship Day, to heal the pain of the Civil War. After she died in 1905, Anna campaigned for the establishment of an official Mother's Day to commemorate her mother.

"Miss Anna Jarvis was as good as her word. She devoted her entire life to the struggle to have Mother's Day declared a national holiday. In the spring of 1908, Anna wrote to the Superintendent of Andrew's Methodist Church in Grafton, West Virginia, where her mother had taught Sunday School classes for over 20 years. She requested that a Mother's Day service be held in honor of her mother. Thus, the first official Mother's Day celebration was held at Andrew's Methodist Church on May 10, 1908, with 407 persons in attendance. Anna Jarvis sent 500 white carnations to the church in Grafton. One was to be worn by each son and daughter and two by each mother in attendance. Another service was held in Philadelphia later that afternoon where Anna resided with her brother. Anna had requested that the first official service be held in Grafton, where the Jarvis family had lived so much of their lives and where her mother had served for so long as a teacher and public servant.

Anna Jarvis' campaign is the reason we have a formal holiday. In 1914 President Woodrow Wilson declared that Mother's Day should be celebrated as a national holiday on the second Sunday in May.

It didn't take very long for Mother's Day to change from a semi-religious occasion of prayers for peace and appreciation of the work and love of mothers around the world to a gifts, flowers, candy and dining out . Anna Jarvis was actually arrested at a Mother's Day festival while trying to stop women from selling flowers. Jarvis said "I wanted it to be a day of sentiment not profit."

Mother's Day may not have turned out to be the holiday that Julia Ward Howe, Anna Jarvis and countless other women around the world imagined, but it is a celebration of mothers...dedicated to honoring the women who give so much to their families without asking for anything in return. Perhaps every day should be Mother's Day, but most families are too busy with everyday business to say thank you for every meal or every good night kiss.

Once every year, the world stops being busy and says thank you. Flowers, cards and gifts are just the outward signs. What mothers love most is the fact that their families really do notice all that they do and for one day every mom is queen for a day...

Happy Mother's Day from Jim and Denise

Ask for it~be Aware~take Action~be Grateful

Ask for it~ be Aware ~ take Action~ be Grateful

We made a decision to donate 10% of the money that passes through us.
We usually donate to a charity, the charity usually presents itself to us, example a friend of ours lost a love one to a drunk driver ~ MADD, another friend lost a loved one to cancer~ American Cancer Society, another has a family member with diabetes American Diabetes Foundation. Sometimes RAK (Random Act of Kindness) paying for someone you do not know at the toll booth, McDonalds drive thru or someones dinner without being identified.
Gives us a GoOD feeling!!!
A few weeks ago we had an idea... What if we found someone who by outward appearances could afford to pay for extra's and we paid for them... Would they be inspired to "Pay It Forward?" Sharing this idea with others and of course the universe...
Asking for it~being Aware of it~taking Action~ feeling Grateful!!!
We were invited to the First Meet-Up ... BBB Breakfast~Business-Bunch... This was a different format~ Brain Storming with heart !!!
When it was over everyone had left except the organizer and us (Jim & denise) as we approached the cashier each of us with bills in hand we realized this was not exactly what we had talked about ... Yet we were moved to make this part of our 10% ... We know this woman Shelley Costello pays it forward every single day!!!
Imagine if we act in could reverse
be Grateful~take Action~ be Aware~Ask for it
We would all be racing to Pay It Forward First...
Awesome Brain Storming Meet~Up every 3rd Thurs 8:30AM. Altamonte Springs,U really need/want to be there~386.235.6864

DNA Personalized Supplements Testimonial

I have been a "supplement" believer and user for 35 plus years. It became more than a hobby, experimenting and trying to discover what worked and what did not work for me. It became a lifestyle passion for me. My grandmother was a Doctor and believed in natural cures and prevention. Herbs and foods are nature's medicine. I was primary caretaker for my father who passed at 53 due to heart & diabetes, my mother who passed away at age 66 due to cancer, my grandmother who developed Parkinson before passing, and my brother who passed at age 49 due to diabetes from the age of 8, 1 kidney transplant awaiting another and a leg amputation.

I have a niece and nephew who are insulin dependent. So eating natural and organic, and taking supplements was a commandment in my home. I have 5 children, they have always been a WHY for me. The thought of them being ill or having to take care of me in life was not an option.

When invited to take a look at this business opportunity, I was amazed that the product was a personalized supplement according to your DNA. After much due diligence and having been involved in multiple MLM health and wellness opportunites mostly I always joined as way to get a discount and make extra cash. In the past I would share product with family, friends etc. They would get my discount and sometimes they got a better discount than me *FREE*. The GeneWize opportunity required no product inventory, no guess work of correct product, it is impossible to give away product, no samples to buy. WOW this is great, now only question ... does the product work.

My product came and within a few days I would awake with more energy, I started getting a more peaceful sleep, I could concentration better, need for a mid day "caffeine" boost disappeared. My hair and nails were growing faster. I required less body lotion and no dry skin... Having no real major challenges I still saw improvements, a feeling of well being, now I knew the product worked. I like the fact NO MORE bottles everywhere, all in one package, from one company, no multiple distributorships to keep up with.

With the "hyper" growth the company was experiencing my product was one of those that did not get shipped. I was out of product. After almost a week I felt less energized, and the feeling of well being was disappearing. I was eating for energy, not sleeping as peaceful my hair and skin was getting drier, nails were weaker. Now another week went by I gained a few pounds, and my energy level had definitely decreased. By nature I am a passive patient person. I actually felt irritated and crabby. My family will verify this. Well it was almost 3 weeks before I received my product. It took less than a week and I started to get my feeling of well being back. Sleeping peaceful again waking with energy, clarity and concentration were back, hair and skin not dry, nails started to grow again. I now had a testimonial," I know my product works for me"...

As far as the business, get 4 and pay no more, 90 day full product money back guarantee ... Binary hybrid compensation, traditionally in MLM it takes a lot of time and effort at first just to learn the system, with the Gene Freedom marketing system, all the sophisticated technology is already done, training and boot camps are available. Add all these together with genuine efforts and action you have potential unlimited success and an opportunity to share with others to do the same...

Now with get 4 and its "FREE" Gene Freedom marketing system everyone can if they choose .

The Person Standing on the Mountain~Top

The Person Standing on the Mountain~Top

The person standing on the mountain top did not get there by falling. You have to climb to where you want to go--and you cannot get there by climbing over others. It is about climbing with others, side by side, and even pulling some others up with you. Are you willing to do that? If you are, you'll get to that high place, and others will be happy that you're there-- which is what will keep you there.

Prickly Pear Cactus Health

Prickly Pear Cactus

Opuntia ficus-indica -What is it and Why would you Drink it!

Prickly Pear Cactus is much easier to remember and pronounce! The Prickly Pear Cactus has been around for centuries. It is amazing people who are consuming a new product made from the Prickly Pear Cactus. We are even more amazed at the health and well being experiences they are sharing with us. If you have ever had the experience to peel a Prickly Pear... you'd truly appreciate the new drink it is a puree~ red purple in color and has been blended with 10% mango puree giving it a delicious flavor. Not a juice it is a full flavored WHOLE FOOD Puree. While researching we learned a lot about Prickly Pear Cactus which produces an amazing fruit. Its health and healing benefits are said to be the next herbal super star following in the footsteps of Echinacea, and ST John's Wort . The International Diabetes Center recognizes it as one of 5 herbals with the greatest promise for the alternative treatment of diabetes. It has also been the subject of blood cholesterol research trails sponsored by the American Heart Association. Scientific studies on the antiviral properties of the cactus to treat herpes, influenza, (flu) and HIV, obesity, gastrointestinal disorders, and skin ailments. This food and medicine has been a staple of the people of the Southwest portion of the United Sates, the Middle East, parts of Europe and Africa, Central and South America for hundreds of years.

The question remained would "we" "our family" and "our friends" benefit or "feel" benefits from the product. Well after 1 week... we were 100% sure. For us personally, our sugar cravings were gone. No more nagging sweet tooth...no more 3 O'clock crash or pick me up caffeine, snacks, chips, cookies, no more eating bowls of ice cream and toppings. We are having energy without jumpy, jittery irritability feelings in addition to more FOCUS and clarity.

We started to share it with "our family" and "friends". Everyone is having greats results of their own. The research and clinical trials that have been done on Prickly Pear Cactus the health benefits for Diabetes, elevated LDL and Triglycerides, Hypertension, Heart Disease, and Cancer are amazing. We know people this would benefit and be of interest to. We have family and friends who have Diabetes and are experiencing more stabilized blood sugars. Friends who are experiencing more energy and have also lost the sugar cravings and afternoon crash... and a plus ...weight loss. A good friend has her entire family including her 2 1/2 yr daughter drinking Prickly Pear Cactus ... it is a whole food, not freeze dried then water added, no supplements added, expecting Mom's~nursing Mom's~ toddlers, no worry it's a WHOLE FOOD. We add Prickly Pear Cactus to other juices to enhance the favor example orange juice, lemonade; they make excellent margaritas, and other mixed drinks. We were told about t an added bonus, NO HANG OVER the next day. We make salad dressing with it, on top pancakes, waffles, over ice cream, yogurt, pudding, with juice for Popsicles, in baking there are endless possibilities. One friend puts Prickly Pear Cactus puree on her pet's food because the doggy has diabetes. Others have shared with us, that it helps with elimination, becoming regular, helped increase a feeling of well being. Since this drink has only been available since DEC 2008 and already having such positive results, it is only a matter of time before you hear about it everywhere.

Jim and I (denise) both enjoy entrepreneurial spirit, enjoy people, so Jim decided to look at the business/marketing side of the company. This is more Jim's passion and interest than mine. He did his due diligence and the company's foundation, future and principals all were impressive ...he was very excited and we were ready to get on board. We became distributors... and our family and friends also became distributors too. It cost $39.00 the onetime distributor fee plus the product cost.

We were not interested in another business, we were promoting and marketing another company and product ... Imagine daily supplements according to your genetic code... from a DNA swab we all can NOW know our genetic needs, and take supplements created just for us, along with a skin care line. In the future even Medication will be given according to your genetic code... Along with the 3 ounces a day of the Prickly Pear Cactus ... We can honestly say we feel GREAT... Better than we have in years ...Health and nutrition has always been a priority in my (denise) life. My father (53) and brother (49) were weakened and taken by complications from Diabetes. Diabetes has a hold of my nephew since AGE 8 (now 29) and my niece since 3 now (13). I've seen what diabetes can do to a person. My brother had a kidney transplant, a prosthetic leg, many surgeries on his eyes leaving him still with poor vision. Cancer took my mother at age 66. My Grandfathers suffered heart failure. So this Prickly Pear Cactus product indeed tugged at my heart strings, a health benefit to help protect from the conditions I had seen loved one's suffer with. Who do you know that would benefit from this? Everyone!

There is a book called "Prickly Pear Cactus Medicine" written by Ran Knishinsky published in 2004, there is no mention of any company- and everything to do with this wonderful plant Prickly Pear Cactus,.. Be good to yourself, those you love and those who love you.

What you welcome will appear

Jim and I made a choice to welcome GoOD experiences people share. Seems like everyday we hear more and more... Could it be you really find what you are open to? I believe the answer is YES...
Sean is a hair stylist in Boca Raton, driving to and from work he listens to talk radio . He is as intelligent as he is talented, he enjoys and retains information and knowledge. He has a lot interests , one is natural health and modern day technology. Sharing conversations with his client is a benefit of his career. One day a client comes in and she had tears in her eyes and tells him " Sean, you changed my life"
He asks why... In a previous visit she told Sean. She was in a serious car accident , the results of going through the windshield she had a concussion. She was telling how she was still having trouble, that was interfering with her everyday life, to the point of her not being able to function in her normal capacity. Dr's claimed it was normal and should be better in 2-3 months. That time plus more had passed and she was getting worse. When she would wake up she did not know who she was or where she was. How frightening is that,is any wonder how a person could become dangerously depressed ? She moved backed home with her parents. Sean had heard on the way to work about PCS (post concussion syndrome) and how Berkeley University in CA was having success in helping people with similar troubles . She went home goggled it, research it ...and actually went to Berkeley, and was seen by the doctors there...She is now being treated and has quality back in her life...
life is hard... still it is simple...

How simple ... He cared...He listened...he shared... she listened... she believed...she cared and took action...and took the time to come back and say Thank You... Life is GoOD and this is just another example... of paying it forward...

Who is Dave, and why was he there?

We met with a friend of ours, it was Tuesday before her leadership role at our Meetup. She shared a recent true life experience with us. She was in NY City and found her self with more luggage than one person could possibly carry. She began to feel unsafe and envisioned being robbed. A man approached her, he had all the appearance of a homeless man, carry a sign,asking for money, in need of personal grooming is being kind. He offered to help her, asking her if she was ok. At first judging him by his appearance she immediately said NO. Feeling she was in danger of being mugged, among her luggage were three laptops, holding ALL her valuable personal information. He insisted and would not leave. Giving into the fact that she could not get to her destination by herself, she began to think with her "business" hat on. She offered to make him a "business deal" if he helped her get where she had to be, she would give him $20.00. He would have to tuck in his shirt, pull up his pants, bush the hair behind off his face... and put away his sign out of sight. His name was Dave, and he agreed, carrying most of her luggage walking through the terminal of Port Authority, she knew people were looking at them. She felt uncomfortable as she felt them judging. She was a professional business woman, and he was, well lets say- he was not!!! Feeling uneasy she still was amazed this man could carry all her luggage and as if was nothing and never notice the stares.The entire time he would repeat to her, "its ok, you will be alright it will all work out, don't worry" Getting to the food court at the airport, she offered to buy him lunch, he accepted.She made small talk... As agreed she took $20.00 out and extended it to pay him as the agreed "business deal". He refused and she insisted, she said we made a "business deal". He replied with, You have paid me with more than $20.00, you talked with me like a real person something no one has done in a long time. He then offered to stay and make sure she was ok until it was time to board. She said no thank you. He finally took the $20.00 they agreed upon as the "business deal" As she shared with us her experience we all realize that sometimes the person we least expect to be sent to help is the one.
After the meeting was over and Jim and I were driving home , I began to wonder if she knew what had happened- could it be the very thing Dave actually needed. So you never really know who is in need. HE does indeed work in HIS own way!!!

As children we all have dreams.When Jim and I have seen someone who is living or begging on the street - we wonder- what happened in that person life that they are where they are? When they were asked as a child "What do you want to be when you grow up?" We are almost sure they did not answer " I want to be homeless begging on the streets" or " I want to be an alcoholic or addicted to drugs" We also believe we all make choices, and have to be accountable for our actions. Just a thought.

We are not attending

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You can call me crazy or in denial yet I am NOT accepting the invitation to this recession- depression- bad economy or whatever they are calling it today... I refuse to buy into what the News-CNN-(Constant Negative News)- The News Papers ( which should be called The History Paper seeing it all happen yesterday!!!) I am making my own economy ... I do not accept or believe for one second that God would have us live in scarcity... I find people who are just as determined as I am to be ALL that they can be... I know people who have lost their job or fear they might- some worry and yet some have discovered a new purpose in life... they feel as if they have been awakened... no longer on auto pilot ...feel free ... and are doing something to produce income... I look for facts of how more millionaires are made during a "down economy"-and I find them...How many folks stretch and become more than they knew they could... they learn to celebrate what they have... reconnect with source and inner self and beliefs.
Jim and I decided to go out and find opportunities instead of waiting for something to happen. We knew we needed to make things happen, even if the news, and government tells everyone there is a recession going on to and live in fear ... After exploring opportunities we have chosen to be in what we refer to as "Conversational Marketing"
We have conversations with people... offering value and mentorship to those who chose this path. We have made many friends and not all decided that this is right for them... We appreciate them...and they are still our friends.It is not about growing just a business it is about being of value and having purpose.
Courage and Faith, with Action is how we choose to live our lives. Failure is not an option... Life is not easy- yet it is simple... You have to take action.
This is an article that should be sent to anyone important in your life
. Most interesting........ Cancer Update from Johns Hopkins:
AFTER YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRY ('TRY, BEING THE KEY WORD) TO ELIMINATE CANCER, JOHNS HOPKINS IS FINALLY STARTING TO TELL YOU THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY.
Cancer Update from Johns Hopkins :
1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.
2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime.
3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.
4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.
5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen=2 0the immune system.
6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastrointestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.
7. Radiation, while destroying cancer cells, also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.
8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.
9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.
10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.
11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.
CANCER CELLS FEED ON:
a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc. are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka Honey or molasses but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in color. Better alternative is Bragg's Aminos or sea salt.
b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting 20 off milk and substituting with unsweetened soy milk cancer cells are being starved.
c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.
d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).
e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer fighting properties. Water-best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.
f. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines become putrefied and leads to more toxic buildup.
g. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.
h. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Florescence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the body's own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.
i. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor. Anger, unforgiving and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.
j. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily and deep breathing help get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.
(PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO PEOPLE YOU CARE FOR )
CANCER UPDATE FROM JOHN HOPKINS HOSPITAL, US - PLEASE READ
1. No plastic containers in micro.
2. No water bottles in freezer.
3. No plastic wrap in microwave.
Johns Hopkins has recently sent this out in its newsletters. This information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army 20 Medical Center as well. Dioxin chemicals cause cancer, especially breast cancer. Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies. Don't freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic. Recently, Dr. Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager at Castle Hospital , was on a TV program to explain this health hazard. He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers. This especially applies to foods that contain fat. He said that the combination of fat, high heat, and plastics releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body. Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food. You get the same results, only without the dioxin. So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in something else. Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper. It's just safe r to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc. He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons.
Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food. Cover food with a paper towel instead.
Home remendies shared for the FLU
Sleep and rest. Extreme activity will weaken your defenses.
Keep elevated while sleeping. This allows you to be able to breathe more easily.Keep your clothes changed and clean. Keep your bed linens changed and clean. Don’t use your toothbrush after the first symptom of the cold or flu. All this helps prevent the virus from re-infecting you later.
Lubricate your nose to help decrease irritation.
Back rubs can activate the immune system to fight colds or flu virus.
Soaking your feet or using a heating pad helps with the aches and pains associated with colds and flu.
Drink plenty of fluids. Apple juice, dark grape juice, carrot juice, beet juice and clear soups are recommended. In addition you need to drink a quart of water daily.
Honey mixed with a quarter teaspoon of cinnamon powder taken daily for three days will help when you have that nagging cough. It also will help clear the sinuses.
Taking 1000mgs of vitamin C daily will help the body fight virus infections.
Drink ginger tea. Ginger tea is antiviral and helps break up the mucus and congestion. Boil 2 tablespoons of fresh grated ginger in 8 ounces of water. Let it cool and drink as needed.
Two garlic supplement tablets, found in most health food stores, taken three times a day will help break up the mucus from sinus or chest congestion.
Make a drink by adding a teaspoon of cumin seeds to 8 ounces of boiling water. Let it seep for a few minutes, strain and drink. Do this about 12 times a day.
Taking Echinacea is believed to help prevent colds and the flu virus. Take it a week and follow the recommended dosages on the packaging.
Using over the counter drugs to combat fevers, aches and pains is sometimes helpful. These include aspirin, acetaminophen or ibuprofen. Do not give aspirin or any drug containing aspirin to anyone under the age of 21. It has been found to cause Reye’s syndrome, a life threatening illness.
Gargle with salt water. This helps relieve the pain of a sore throat.
Gargle with sage tea. It disinfects the mouth and by breathing the aromatic fumes can relieve the inflammation in your nose and throat.
Dairy products cause the body to produce more mucus. Avoid all dairy products while you have the virus.
Do not drink alcoholic beverages. They dehydrate the body and lower your body’s defenses.
Blow Your Nose Often -- and the Right Way
It's important to blow your nose regularly when you have a cold rather than sniffling mucus back into your head. But when you blow hard, pressure can cause an earache. The best way to blow your nose: Press a finger over one nostril while you blow gently to clear the other. Wash your hands after blowing your nose.
Stay Rested
Resting when you first come down with a cold or the flu helps your body direct its energy toward the immune battle. This battle taxes the body. So give it a little help by lying down under a blanket.
Gargle
Gargling can moisten a sore throat and bring temporary relief. Try a teaspoon of salt dissolved in warm water, four times daily. To reduce the tickle in your throat, try an astringent gargle -- such as tea that contains tannin -- to tighten the membranes. Or use a thick, viscous gargle made with honey, popular in folk medicine. Steep one tablespoon of raspberry leaves or lemon juice in two cups of hot water; mix with one teaspoon of honey. Let the mixture cool to room temperature before gargling. Honey should never be given to children less than 1 year old.
Drink Hot Liquids
Hot liquids relieve nasal congestion, help prevent dehydration, and can soothe the uncomfortably inflamed membranes that line your nose and throat.
Take a Steamy Shower
Steamy showers moisturize your nasal passages and relax you. If you're dizzy from the flu, run a steamy shower while you sit on a chair nearby and take a sponge bath.
Use a Salve Under Your Nose
A small dab of mentholated salve under your nose can open breathing passages and help soothe the irritated skin at the base of the nose. Menthol, eucalyptus and camphor all have mild numbing ingredients that may help relieve the pain of a nose rubbed raw.
Apply Hot or Cold Packs Around Your Congested Sinuses
Either temperature may help you feel more comfortable. You can buy reusable hot or cold packs at a drugstore. Or make your own. Take a damp washcloth and heat it for 55 seconds in a microwave (test the temperature first to make sure it's right for you.) Or take a small bag of frozen peas to use as a cold pack.
Sleep With an Extra Pillow Under Your Head
This will help with the drainage of nasal passages. If the angle is too awkward, try placing the pillows between the mattress and the box springs to create a more gradual slope.
Don't Fly Unless Necessary
There's no point adding stress to your already stressed-out upper respiratory system, and that's what the change in air pressure will do. Flying with cold or flu congestion can hurt your eardrums as a result of pressure changes during takeoff and landing. If you must fly, use a decongestant and carry a nasal spray with you to use just before takeoff and landing. Chewing gum and swallowing frequently can also help relieve pressure.
From Jack Kittinger in Michigan: I've got one remedy that really works although it sounds silly. To stop coughing at night rub your feet with Vick's vapor rub and wear socks (it's on the Internet). They don't know why it works but it does.
Stay away from over the counter and prescription drugs unless you really need them as they lower your resistance to bugs.
From Joe Smith on FB : Freshly squeezed lemon in boiled water with honey. Sweats it out and has healing properties.
For sore throat, mix freshly squeezed lemon juice in a tablespoon of honey(cold pressed or pure only) until it forms a smooth texture... Read More. Soothes the throat and good for the lungs.
Head Colds: Jump on it the quicker the better. Eat freshly cut chillies and garlic. Add some to two or three meals. Breakfast could be grilled cheese with some chilli and garlic added. Joe Smith at 7:03pm January 29
Vics Vapor Rub shouldn't be used on young children. For them and grown ups, you can mix a little Eucalyptus Oil with Olive Oil
Thats just who you are:
Yesterday Denise and I had to run a few errands. We stopped and filled up with gas, hey what’s up, gas price up 13 cents in two days. I thought the price per barrel had drifted back down over the past few weeks. Anyways, second stop Costco, with a family of five we buy in bulk.
Last stop was the grocery store for some misc. items. As we entered the check outline Denise looked down and saw an envelope, she bent over picked it up and noticed it was filled with a large number of bills; a $50.00 was on top. Without hesitation she asked the clerk who was just here, he replied a lady with a red coat. Denise showed him the envelope and he reached for it as did two other store employees’ that over heard the brief conversation. They insisted they would” take care of it”.
At this point Denise declined the offer and immediately sprinted out the front door with one employee following closely behind. She spotted the lady with the red coat, of course she had parked in the last spot from the store, makes me wonder if that was some help from above. Had she parked closer, most likely she would have driven away before Denise was able to reach her.
Driving home we chatted about what had just occurred. She has tremendous instincts and believes and follows them. She said the three store employees were just too anxious to relieve her of the envelope with the cash. She said at that moment, she knew she would find the rightful owner and insure she got her cash back. Not to say the employees wouldn’t have, they did seem more interested in the cash than finding the red coated lady. We have no idea how much cash was in the envelope, doesn’t really matter. Denise estimated the ladies age in the mid 70’s. Most likely the cash was her monthly social security or retirement pension.
I looked at her, felt the thrill of gratitude, smiled and said “that’s just who you are”.
